Rolling Stones Free Concert in Toronto

It is Official

It happened.... very little sin and some folks say that AC/DC stole the show. Well..... that is for God to judge. You will have to buy the upcoming DVD to experience the sin yourself, my christian brothers and sisters.

Mick Jagger, expressing support for the concert at a news conference Tuesday morning. "We're happy to tell you that we're coming to play on July 30 in a great concert for the people in the city of Toronto, to help bring back the energy to our favourite city," Jagger said in a message taped in Munich.

The concert — expected to run between eight and nine hours — will also feature AC-DC, The Guess Who, Justin Timberlake, Sam Roberts, The Flaming Lips and Sass Jordan, with more acts expected to follow. It will be hosted by Dan Ackroyd and Jim Belushi.

Rolling Stones free concert is not so free.

Tickets for the "free" Rolling Stones concert in Toronto taking place at the downsview wastelands will go on sale on Friday. The cost of the "free" tickets is $21.50 Canadian.

It may happen that the Rolling Stones, the "Greatest Rock and Roll Band", may play a free concert in Toronto in July '03.

Some elders in the Church of Jesus .ca can not condone such an event. We pray that Mick, Keith and the boys stay far away from the church's headquarters. Some other church elders, will attend the free Rolling Stones concert in Toronto to observe and supervise.

A free Rolling Stones concert in Toronto in July 03 at Downsview Park may signal a new age of enlightenment if we play our cards right my friends. Keep in mind that the free Rolling Stones concert is merely rumour at this time but we feel that the Church should pass judgement as soon as possible.

Bless you Rolling Stones fans.

I too, along with my husband, and good friends are also going to the Rolling Stones concert to 'observe' the world's greatest rock 'n roll band! I think I believe in God now as I saw the Stones back in October last year and after witnessing the best entertainment in my life, I prayed to God that they would come back to Toronto and I'd have the chance to see them live again. God does answer prayers.
Anyway, I hope your church elders enjoy and appreciate the show and the effort that these legendary rockers are putting forth to bring the flame back to Toronto, my hometown.
By the way, the Doobie Bros are a great band too, and are you familliar with the term 'doobie'? It means a reefer, or marijuana joint. I am also in favour of legalizing posession, and smoking of pot. Does the church condone this too? I hope so.....thanks for your time, A*****.  ; )

I was in your web site and I tend to disagree with what you are saying.  You (as a church and you as a minister who is responsible for the churches actions)  are passing judgment on something that as a christian should not do.  You are casting a person(s) away when you should be praying for them, and hoping that they do turn around and seek help.  You never know what a person is thinking so you don't know if they are hurting or not.  As a professional I would think that you would have a bigger and better head on your shoulders.  I am sorry that you think like this.   To cast it accross the internet is not the best thing niether.  You are a church that is established in the community and to have this over the net, I think that it would hurt your reputation as a servant of God and as a community leader.

God bless

Thank you for the feedback. It seems that some of our feedback is positive and some is negative. The church can not condone or agree with the comments but we will take it under advisement.  The Rolling Stones concert is just 11 days away and we will be on the alert if any un-godly news happens. It is also important to note that other bands of musicians will join the Stones, AC/DC, Rush and the Guess Who. Sounds like an immoral cast of characters, eh!

We will keep you posted.
