Old fashioned Oatmeal Cookies

350 F  8 –10 mins

Blend:

1 cup white sugar

1 cup melted shortening (not butter flavoured)

1 egg

3 Tbsp molasses

1 tsp of baking soda dissolved in 4 Tbsp milk

Add:

2 cups of all purpose flour

½ tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

3 cups oatmeal

Drop on greased cookie sheet, do not over-cook
